Book was a good size. The pictures were beautiful. The information was interesting. I recommend.

An amazing collection of photos, maps and information about Rome churches and art...I am not a knowledgeable source on art, but the church images and descriptions are thorough and interesting. The guide was written for a Jubilee or holy year, and although printed16 years ago, Pope Francis has provided another special year to give this more relevance.

This book is amazing. Rome has so much to offer and this book gives you a small taste.

This Jubilee Edition of Art and History of Rome is much expanded and improved over the last one I bought eight years ago. There are many more pictures, although perforce smaller, and it's well organized by districts of the city as well as the major section devoted to the beautifully spiffed up religious sites. They've taken a page from Dorling Kindersley's guides by adding street-by-street views with little buildings drawn in. Also added are detailed sidebars of relevant historical information to put the sights in context. Overall, a very handsome and worthwhile book for prospective or recent visitors to Rome.

I have had this book for the last 10 years, and it is well-worn. It has been very useful in helping me refine my club juggling, devil stick, and ball juggling skills. The diagrams are well drawn, and Finnigan also provides hints for when things go wrong.He goes into details other books skip over (such as color-changing rings) and cigar box juggling.My only complaint is that this book isn't indexed, so you have to rely on the Table of Contents to search for stuff.All in all, I highly recommend this book.

It is not the best "Learn to Juggle" book, but if you can already juggle, this book will push you to the next level.This book just expects you to want to learn how to juggle 5 pins, or learn complicated passing routines.The coverage complete, but brief. Wow. All I can say is WOW! Growing up in rural Iowa, I am about as far removed from the DC projects as you can get, so this book was a real eye opener for me. I felt like Garry's story is one that movies are written about.Garry is a very strong person to share his powerful story! Definitely a must read and worth every penny!

This is an amazing story about a man who looked at what life gave him and was determined to make more out of it. With sheer determination the author overcame obstacles that would have defeated most people. The writing is honest and heartbreaking.

This book is awesome..I really like the metaphors used..Its a great buy so worth the money..

My life growing up in rural Nebraska (and two decades earlier) couldn't be more different than Garry Clark's experiences in the D.C. projects. I was well into adulthood before I understood that places like the projects he describes even existed. Unlikely Viking opens a window into a history and upbringing completely foreign to most rural Nebraskans. The communities he and his family have been a part of since his return to Nebraska have benefited greatly from the character he developed during his time in this foreign environment. His story shows that no matter the environment we are born into, we can choose to let it hold us back or we can transcend its barriers. Thank goodness Garry chose to transcend. This is a great and inspiring read.

Unlikely Viking is beyond inspirational. Reading Garry Clark’s story was an honor to read. I strongly suggest to buy Unlikely Viking if you’re looking for a great read and wanting to hear an inspiring story.

This is a cute book, and well made. I bought it as a Christmas present, and although the pages are not at all for kids, it was still a big hit. If you are looking for a true first alphabet book, this is not what you are looking for. If you are looking for a fun baby gift for a Cowboys fan, however, this is a perfect idea.

Used this as a baby shower gift for my aunt and uncle who are huge Pats fans, they loved it! It is small, but a good size for baby and the pictures and words inside aren't affected by the book size.

Ok, it's not the best toddler book I have, but is Packers and I love it. My toddler has no idea what the words are in the pictures, but its still awesome. Don't get this unless you are a fan.

if you are a Giants Fan and have a new baby grandson GET THIS BOOK- great sturdy quality and wonderful price and adorable as heck- even though his father is an eagles fan He loved it as well

It's a cute book for your children. Couple things, there is a typo on one of the last pages(a misspelled word). Also I wish it had like for the letter B, B is for Brady. But it sticks to generic football things for all the letters.

Cute cute book to give as a baby gift for a Cowboys fan (which is what I did). Not your normal alphabet book for word choices for the letters but can't expect that with a NFL based theme. None the less, I think its cute, the recipient LOVED it and I'm sure the baby will too!

My 17 month old is still not into books, but when he is, he'll love this one. My wife is a Cowboys fan; I'm trying to sway him to be a Pats fan, and this book should help. Lots of words and pictures for learning.

I couldn't be more pleased with this purchase. After he turned one my son became very picky about what he ate. It was a very stressful time for my husband and myself and, after we landed in the rut of giving him the food he liked long enough for him to get tired of it, I decided to do something about his eating habits ... hence this purchase. The first meal I made was the animal pasta with salmon and broccoli. My son had never before been interested in eating salmon if it wasn't mashed to a pulp, and I remember telling myself that there was no way he was going to even look sideways at the broccoli. Imagine my surprise when, after a few seconds of staring at his plate suspiciously, he started gobbling up everything I put in front of him. Since that day I have tried alot of the recipes and, apart from one or two (where I might not have followed the instructions sufficiently closely), I have not have any trouble getting him to empty his plate. Many times he even nags for a second portion. I don't know what the author does to make the veggies and fish so appealing to kids, but it has certainly won over my picky little eater.

Maybe it was just my baby but I found that a lot of the recipes didn't taste nice even for me! I made the macaroni and cheese and my baby gagged from it. I also didn't love it! I think it's just easier to give your baby whatever your are eating as long as healthy. Might give some ideas to more simple recipes.

This is the first book I’ve bought on kindle that is impossible to read, the font is too small and you can’t zoom it, a complete waste of money

I bought this for our daughter after the birth of her first child. It is so helpful, practical and sensible with great family recipes.

I persevered with this book after several recipes were rejected by my toddler (who usually eats anything). He visibly recoils with many (not all) dishes in is book.That aside, I don't have time to cook these lavish meals that have ingredient lists as long as my arm, the recipes require using every dish in the darned kitchen and some of them require three step or more processes which span the entire day. What mother has time for this? Any time I cooked one of her recipes, my kitchen looked like a bomb had hit it, I was exhausted, my toddler hated the food and after hours of cooking, had to turn around and make something else for him to eat. I wouldn't even make dishes this involved for dinner guests. Not impressed at all. Also the measurements were useless. I was forever converting into cups or spoons.

Excellent book. Annabel Karmel is a recognized world author of making infant, toddler, and children's meals. It is easy to use. Breaks things down so you are only learning what you need to know for the age of child you are cooking for. She gives you important information in the beginning that was a wealth of knowledge. It wasn't too much but focused on the important stuff that everyone needs to know. Great quick reference when you are not sure about something. This book has all the recipes that you need. Once you get the hang of it you can tailor it to your own child's likes. I bought quite a few books because I wanted to make all of my own baby food. This is the one that I used. Many of the others I took to the used bookstore. If you are interested in making healthy, yummy food for your little ones this is a must have.

Really good book, lots of recipes and makes lots of sense. Common sense guide to feeding your baby! Mine is loving his food, can't feed him quick enough and there is nothing he doesn't like so far.

This book is so useful and the recipes are so yummy! Everything that I have made from it, my daughter loved and I enjoyed cooking :)

A must for any Dart Tower fan - A very well done graphic novel adaptation of this story that is not included the DT novels, originally appearing in a collection of short stories (which I can't remember at the moment - the cover {if I'm not mistake} of one of the editions has a goblet style water glass with droplets of blood in the water).

I love Stephen King so when I discovered that he would not be writing the graphic novels relating to "The Dark Tower" series, I was a bit skeptical. I'm sorry I doubted you Robin Furth and company. I purchased the first dark Tower Graphic issues and stopped purchasing them as I found them difficult to locate (could not find local comic stores)as individual graphic issues. So I started purchasing the Graphic Novels (for those that are not aware, there are several issues comprising an individual story directly correlating to "The Dark Tower" story that come out every few months and once that series has been completed, the issues are compiled into a hardcover Graphic Novel). I started buying the completed Graphic Novels when "Treachery" was available and have been buying them since. The stories and background information is incredible not to mention the artwork. If you are even remotely interested in Stephen King's The Dark Tower" series of novels, these graphic novels are a must!

This graphic novel is probably the best adaptation of Stephen King's Roland story, and is definitely the most creepy and horrific. It follows king's short story very well, and the artistry is excellent! There's a lot of violence and gore, and the drawings live up to the horror of the original story. I have gotten a lot of enjoyment out of this entire series, but this one tops all of the others. Hopefully, the writers and artists can keep up the good work they have been doing, and giving all of the Stephen King fans a visual treat, and a pictorial glance into the Dark Tower story.

The Dark Tower series needed to end with Roland finding the tower. Stop with the ridiculous money grabbing terrible follow ups.

Awesome continuation of the adventures of Roland. A faithful representation of the short story found in Stephen King's Everthings Eventual. I discovered this Dark Tower story after I had finished the series and absolutely loved it so when they announced it was the next in the series I was excited. It was worth the wait because it was faithfully captured within these pages. The art really brought it to life and with the next chapter being Tull we are officially in the first novel. Can't wait for the next collection. Also reviewed by me on TFAW.com a comic shop.

The Little Sisters of Eluria is the only Dark Tower piece written by Stephen King that I have not read. I have also avoided the majority of the preceding Dark Tower comic arcs because the writers don't have Stephen King's talent for horror. Despite not having read the actual short story, I could tell that this was King's work and not anyone else's. When you get to this arc you finally get a taste of King's ability and it is a stark contrast to the other comic arcs. This arc is a huge upgrade in quality. It's night and day.

I'm a big Stephen King/Dark Tower fan. I've been collecting the Dark Tower Series comics since they launched, they do justice to the novels, quite possibly the best part of these books is the back section with the history of the worlds, they really open your eyes to whats going around. Even if you're a purist of the sort that doesn't want to read comics these are worth picking up just for the back section.

The Dark Tower Series is the best King fantasy series. We waited anxiously as each new book came out. Now it is out in a graphic novel. This is a great find for my grandson in Afganistan. He treasures each book and anxiously awaits the next one. His friends eagerly wait for him to finish reading so they can borrow the next one. A great adventure to read, and great to share with others who live a hurry up and wait lifestyle with their lives on hold and sometimes on the line.
